This week’s teacher will be Gina from CorePower Yoga! Here’s a little more about Gina:
Gina first unrolled a yoga mat decades ago in Boston as a treat after overdoing it with teaching boxing, step, HIIT and strength classes in grad school. After nearly 30 years of teaching all things fitness while working and raising a family, Gina embarked on yoga teacher training in Chapel Hill as a way to keep doing what she loved following hip surgery. Gina’s love of group fitness classes and her need for help dealing with both the physical and emotional healing processes after serious surgery kept her coming back to her mat more and more. When Core Power Yoga opened its doors in Chapel Hill, it was the perfect place to grow her love of yoga and of teaching. Gina teaches challenging and fun vinyasa style yoga as well as fitness minded yoga classes using weights and cardio, all with a twist of great tunes . She strives to make yogis of all ages and levels comfortable with her open, honest (and often funny) stories about her family and her adventures in life.
All levels welcome, just bring your mat and an open mind. Yoga will last about 45 minutes. One free drip coffee included after the class, but feel free to stay and be the first in line for Sunday Brunch!
